A Whitney Houston Smile

When this patient came to me, he was about to move to LA to start studying and working in the film industry.  He did not like his smile, and he really wanted a Hollywood smile.  I’ll never forget when I asked him what he wanted his smile to look like and he said, “I always liked Whitney Houston’s smile.”  I asked him if there was a point in Whitney’s career that he loved her smile the most.  He replied, “The best thing about Whitney is that no matter if she was having good times or bad times, she always had the biggest, prettiest smile.”

After we placed his porcelain veneers, he was so excited and he told me he absolutely loved his “Whitney smile.”  He recently referred his mom to me.  That’s about the highest compliment he could have paid me.
