Whitney
Registered Dental Hygienist
I grew up in the Atlanta area. I graduated from dental hygiene school in 1993 and I have been happily working as a dental hygienist since then. I am very passionate about helping my patients achieve and maintain a healthy mouth. I think it is imperative that patients understand the connection that having an unhealthy mouth can have on their overall health. This is what made me know that working with Dr. Estep and her staff was to be my new dental family. They understand and help educate the patients to the newest science connecting the oral systemic link.
I have a gentle touch, yet I am thorough. I want my patients to be comfortable and relaxed at their appointment. If you have areas of concern, like sensitive teeth or anxiety about coming to the dentist, I want to know so we can be sure you have a great experience.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my daughter, watching football, gardening, bowling and hula hoop dancing (yes, that is a thing!).

Registered Dental Hygienist
Starting my career as a Dental Assistant has allowed me to become an educator in all aspects of dentistry. Dental Hygiene was the obvious next step. I’m truly grateful to be a part of a total wellness dental practice, like Intown Smile Studio, and I look forward to being your partner in your health. In my spare time, I’m what you would call a gym rat and I’ve competed in national competitions. As a Grant Park resident, the Beltline has become mine and my dog Redd’s daily outing.
Maureen
Treatment & Smile Design Consultant
I graduated with an AS degree in Dental Assisting from Southern College in Orlando, Florida in 1995. I worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for a number of years and was fortunate in my career to receive education and training with highly credible experts in the field of dentistry. I have worked closely with some of Orlando’s and Atlanta’s best known restorative and cosmetic dentists and have had the opportunity to be a part of some incredible smile makeovers during my career. I have worked closely with Dr. Susan Estep since 2003 and have been a part of an extensive number of her smile makeovers. Even today, when we seat veneers for a smile makeover patient, I am still in awe of what Dr. Estep and her Master Ceramist can create with a smile. I always look forward to our next smile transformation.
I am married and have 2 daughters. l love travelling, reading, going to the movies and just spending time with my friends and family. When I can fit it in, you’ll find me at the gym!

Certified Dental Assistant
I have been an assistant for 3 years now and very fortunate to work with incredible professionals who have shared their knowledge and given me the opportunity to further my experience in the dental industry. Since working with Dr. Estep, I’ve been introduced to a whole new world of cosmetic dentistry I never knew I would find so fulfilling! The amount of work and dedication each case takes makes my job very rewarding. From the very beginning, creating a bond with our patients, throughout the process watching the changes, to the final results which sometimes include tears of joy, makes me love what I do!
In my spare time time I enjoy working out, shopping and spending time with my friends and family!

Patient & Insurance Coordinator
I am originally from Davenport, Iowa. I moved to Atlanta after I completed my dental assisting program in 2012. While I started off my dental career as a pediatric dental assistant, I began to enjoy the business side of dentistry and have worked on the business side for the most part.
I love Atlanta and my little Yorkie named Sosa! In my spare time, you’ll likely find me working out.
Maria
Practice Manager
I’ve worked in the legal industry for a long part of my working career and have had the pleasure of working with some well known companies here in Atlanta. In 2005, I met Dr. Estep and decided to change careers and industries. I decided to put my business degree, my legal background and corporate training to a different use. When I first joined Dr. Estep, my eyes opened to a deeper approach on health. In 2011, Dr. Estep introduced me to the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. As someone who came from outside the dental industry, I was surprised and blown away at the impact dentistry has on our health. I have attended a number of AAOSH scientific sessions over the years and met the fellowship criteria, am now a charter AAOSH Fellow. I’ve continued to broaden my scope, and have attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for a deeper understanding of the impact of diet, food and nutrition on health. While I’ve always been an enthusiast for exercise and diet, knowing and working with Dr. Estep has given me a much deeper appreciation for my own health and how a dental practice is the missing link for a patient’s health. When I’m not working, I really enjoy the outdoors – hiking, riding my bicycle and playing tennis.
