Registered Dental Hygienist
As a hygienist, I love helping patients realize links between their oral and systemic health. I strive to provide the most pleasant, calming and comfortable hygiene services every visit for every patient. I believe that all people deserve to receive the highest level of care, always considering the needs and wants of each individual. Because hygienists actually spend more time getting to know patients than nurses or doctors do, I feel that it is an opportunity and privilege to go the extra mile for their benefit.
In my spare time I delve into continuing education. My favorite subjects have to do with genetics and advancements in the understanding of how microbiomes work. I also enjoy DIY projects at home, reading classic novels, spending time with friends and family whom I consider gifts from God. We have 2 pampered guinea pigs and a very spoiled cat.
Registered Dental Hygienist
I am a compassionate, but driven, Dental Hygienist. I love using my professional expertise to help my patients keep and find their beautiful smiles. I enjoy educating patients about total wellness and am well versed in instructing patients on proper dental care in a positive way. I started my career in pediatric dentistry in 2010 because I love kids. But as fate would have it, I landed my happy feet in cosmetic dentistry. Now, I have the opportunity to help children, teens and adults alike. As a midtown resident, I can tell you all the great places to eat, as I am a self proclaimed foodie. In my spare time, you will likely see my walking my pups, Nugget and Jefferson, around Piedmont Park as well as attending Atlanta United Soccer Games.
Certified Dental Assistant
I have been in dentistry for 10 years. I am a native Memphian now living in Midtown, Atlanta. I went to dental assisting school after I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in pre-law. Not wanting to follow in my family’s footsteps in law, I decided to try dentistry. My dad asked me if I even liked teeth. My response was “let’s find out.” Teeth turned into my passion. I truly love what I do and the amazing woman that I have the pleasure of working with chairside. When I am not in the office, I enjoy yoga, hanging with my dogs and spending time with my fiance.
Treatment & Financial Coordinator
I graduated with AN AS degree in Dental Assisting from Southern College in Orlando, Florida in 1995. I worked as a Certified Dental Assistant for a number of years before transitioning to be a Treatment Coordinator in 2012. I am married with 2 daughters. l love travelling, reading, going to the movies and more importantly, helping our clients fit their dental needs/investment into their lifestyle!
Patient & Insurance Coordinator
Dental hygiene and teeth have been a passion of mine since I was 5 years old. I’ve always loved getting my teeth cleaned and even loved having braces. When I was little, I tagged along to my parents’ hygiene visits so I could be there to suction and get to be at the dentist more often. For as long as I can remember, being in the dental field is where I saw my future. I’ve always been very adamant about oral health being linked to overall health and love that Dr. Estep emphasizes that to her patients here as well. I started in the dental field in Port Orange, FL in 2010 as a dental assistant. I then graduated with my Associates from Daytona State College. I returned to Georgia and finished my Bachelors in Anthropology at the University of Georgia. I have been back in Atlanta since 2016 and love it. While dental assisting is still exciting for me, I enjoy the front office side of the dental field just as much. In my free time, l enjoy trying new restaurants, hiking/walking trails, hanging out with my 6 year old niece, going to any sporting events (Go Dawgs!) and traveling, to the beach in particular.
I’ve worked in the legal industry for a long part of my working career and have had the pleasure of working with some well known companies here in Atlanta. In 2005, I met Dr. Estep and decided to change careers and industries. I decided to put my business degree, my legal background and corporate training to a different use. When I first joined Dr. Estep, my eyes opened to a deeper approach on health. In 2011, Dr. Estep introduced me to the American Academy for Oral Systemic Health. As someone who came from outside the dental industry, I was surprised and blown away at the impact dentistry has on our health. I have attended a number of AAOSH scientific sessions over the years and met the fellowship criteria, am now a charter AAOSH Fellow. I’ve continued to broaden my scope, and have attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition for a deeper understanding of the impact of diet, food and nutrition on health. While I’ve always been an enthusiast for exercise and diet, knowing and working with Dr. Estep has given me a much deeper appreciation for my own health and how a dental practice is the missing link for a patient’s health. When I’m not working, I really enjoy the outdoors – hiking, riding my bicycle and playing tennis.
