This patient was born without her side front teeth (congenitally missing laterals). Her orthodontist moved her teeth to open up proper space for the missing teeth. Her periodontist placed implants under the gums to create roots where the roots were missing. She was 16 years old when her folks brought her to me to create the crowns for the missing teeth. She was patient (as patient as a teenaged girl can be) while I used her temporaries to sculpt the gum tissue so that her new teeth could look as real as possible. She lived pretty far away from my office, so she and her mom were super patient to take several trips to visit me while I worked on the tiny details.
She sent me a thank you note a couple of years later after she was in college and truly loved her smile. Truth be told, Danielle was pretty frustrated with me during “the process.” So it was seriously heart-warming to hear how happy is with her smile as a young adult. And, while a couple of nice teeth are great, she should be thanking her parents for her stunningly gorgeous looks!!
